The Session Hairschool is a six-day program for hairstylists who feel there is more in them than the salon floor asks for. It combines classic hairstyling with the world of fashion, so you learn not only how to execute a look, but how to create one.
Across six lessons you build a complete foundation, from Basics of Hairstyling and Texture & Structure to Big Hair, Ponytails & Updo's, Wetlooks & Highshine and Avant-Garde Hair. Each day mixes technique, creative direction and hands-on practice, so you leave with skills you can use straight away and a way of seeing hair that is entirely your own.
Fashion knowledge makes you a better hairdresser. You learn to read a concept, translate a mood board into hair and work with shape, texture and finish the way stylists do backstage and in editorial. The result is sharper technique, more inspiration and a personal signature that sets you apart from every other stylist in your area.
The program is designed for passionate, driven salon stylists who sense they are ready for the next level, even if they cannot yet name what is missing. Stylists who have followed this path in our own salon now work with more confidence, a recognisable style and far more joy in their craft.

A strong knowledge of the different hair types is a must. You learn to perfectly prep hair for styling, from quick dry techniques and volume blow-drying to the perfect prep and finish for textured and curly hair. So you work faster and more effectively.

One of the hardest techniques, but oh so rewarding once you master it. You learn to create the supermodel look, add length and volume and fill in with extensions, from big and curly to textured and creative big hair.

The influence of Fashion Week looks is everywhere: in editorials, commercials, on the street and on the red carpet. In this lesson you learn the foundation and execution of classic and modern hairdos, from the perfect ponytail to the French twist, 50's hair and prêt-à-porter updos.

A fashion staple you cannot ignore: wetlooks. With the right products and techniques you achieve beautiful, long-lasting shapes, from the sexy editorial wetlook to the sculptured creative wetlook. We also take a trip back to the origin of the trend: the Roaring 20's.
